We took the VITRAN bus to Shoys Beach and were dropped off at the entrance to Buccaneer Beach Resort. After checking in at the guard gate, we walked over a mile past the Buccaneer Golf Course and through an upscale residential area. Only 6 other people were on the beach. It is a crescent shaped beach with sea grape trees and a few palms to provide shade. Visibility for snorkeling was not good because of sand being churned up by the gentle waves.
